Voltron zine illustration

This is a piece I created for a Voltron zine. I was dissatisfied with my work, and didn't know why until I realized it was because the colors were muddy and uninteresting. I realized I needed to push how I use color in my illustrations and did my best to do that in this piece. Although the painting of the mountains isn't perfect, that is not the focal point of the piece. I wanted most of the attention on the sky and the two subjects in the foreground.
